I taught 1st grade for 43 years and know what a valuable tool this is for teaching reading skills to children. I didn’t have this for my own children but my grandchild has one.

My two-year old is a Nemo nut after visiting Disney in May. Been all about fish ever since (DVD’s, Petco aquariums, books, etc). Point is – he spent five minutes with this book and moved onto something else. Although the book illustration is terrific; the downloaded Tag audio narration is not. Had high quality expectations for a Disney book, however the depth of the Tag audio enhancements are poor. Specific examples: there is little variation in the voice characters – uses Marlin’s voice over and over again. Poor detail in the scenery sound effects. Expectation was more of an aquarium experience – with different sounds for each color / shape / fish character – however, the Tag audio was relatively lifeless; even in the most colorful reef art. Compare this to the relatively simple graphics in the Seuss Green Eggs and Ham. Every single graphic in the Seuss book produces a different audio sound, and a clever toddler quickly discovers the nuances in graphic shapes. I sincerely hope someone at Tag or Disney reissues a new audio download that at least matches the Seuss quality of audio.
