@Volarknight Sony Reader PRS 950 has 3G option. No, Kindle books have their own DRM, other readers can’t read them. Sony has their own ebook store with competitive selection and pricing. You can also check out public library books and get DRM free or Adobe? DRM’d epub books as well.

Hey guys, can someone give me any information about this ereader?
These are the points that i am interested in

    >Does this eReader have free? 3G like the Kindle 3G WiFi?
    >Is this eReader compatible with the books available for the Kindle?
    >If not then can you direct me to the Library of the available Books

*I like the Kindle But i trust SONY more and i like the touchscreen function

Thank You for your effort (if you made any)

likey very much, that looks really cool, more responsive and faster than the 300, the stylus looks incredibly handy, too! Can those hilights be saved and exported to pdf?? is that pdf or epub doc? the touch? looks pretty grand. the zoom looked a bit sluggish, but hey, 5 font sizes compared to 3 and actually having zoom and touch and faster is huge upgrade from 300…(sigh) another thing to add to wishlist lol bollocks.

Great review. I’m planning to buy this guy. I like it more than Nook since I? had seen a comparative review recently. I don’t like Kindle very much. But the models & everything are so confusing on Sony. I’m guessing this is NOT the pocket one? If so I hope the pocket version is touch enabled too

I would recommend the Sony PRS 600 to anyone who is thinking about getting an ebook reader.? I’ve owned one for a year and I haven’t experienced any problems. Of course there is slight glare at certain angles, but that doesn’t bother me. This is a reliable product with that doesn’t need recharging very often.

@arcz10 Yes the Kindle DX has both? note taking and highlighting functions.

  • arcz10

Hi could someone please tell me? if the note taking and highlight functions are same on the KINDLE DX as we have just seen here on the Sony PRS 600, THANKS

  • nemodot

Does it read scenned pdf files?? Djvu?

  • tareksobhs

@zSuperVixen You can change the pdf books names if you? have Adobe Acrobat. Just open the file in acrobat, select File >> Properties… From there you can change the name of the book and the authors’s name.
I’m not sure if this can also work with the free version Adobe Reader…

Of the reviews I’ve watched yours is the best and most detailed. The one that would make someone? want to buy this eReader. || I’ve had mine around a month, and I love it. I take it on every trip we go on. ||
